Have You Heard Of Haglund’s Deformity?

If you wear high heel shoes or pump shoes, you are placing undue stress on the bone in the back of the heel, as well as on your Achilles tendon. This condition is called Haglund’s Deformity. Symptoms of this condition include:

  • A reddened spot on the back of the heel
  • A noticeable bump on the back of the heel
  • Swelling (also called bursitis)
  • Achilles tendinitis
